Ralph W. Berstein will be employed as the CEO of Kjeller Innovation (KI) from August 1st, 2018. He will come to KI after having served as an institute leader at the Oslo Metropolitan University.
The chairman of the Kjeller Innovation Board, Ann-Kristin Hageløkken is very pleased that Berstein will take on the role as CEO. “He has both solid competence, long experience and the qualities that are needed to lead Kjeller Innovation in the time to come,” she says.
Berstein has many years of experience as a research manager at Sintef and has contributed to the establishment and development of the micro and nano-laboratory, MiNaLab. He has ten years of experience as the CEO and CTO in the publicly traded technology company, IDEX ASA, and experience as a consultant and leader for technology start-ups. Berstein had served on various expert panels with the Norwegian Research Council and has a PhD in semiconductor technology and holds a research professor position at NTNU.
Bernstein looks forward to taking on the exciting job of leading and further developing Kjeller Innovation. There is a great need in society to create innovative business in new, important focus areas.
